Intergenerational Life Center

Harbor House is expanding by offering services that target an intergenerational community by enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and children with a multitude of innovative services and programs that will afford opportunities for each of the three groups.

What does Intergenerational mean?

An intergenerational community refers to a place that provides safety, education, and basic necessities of life for people of all ages and abilities. There are approximately 90,000 people with disabilities, 80,000 senior citizens, and 145,000 children in Jefferson County who could benefit from the Intergenerational Life Center(ILC).
