New Program Announcement: Teen Life Skills
Our Teen Life Skills Program is a once weekly program for teens ages 14-18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their siblings. We teach a variety of life skills, with the topic changing every 6 weeks. For our current 6-week cycle, we are learning cooking and nutrition skills. Topics for the cycles include relationship skills, budgeting and money management, and other life skills. To register for the program, interested parties need to contact myself or Abby, and we’ll send the paperwork to the participant/families. We accept new participants on an ongoing basis, with a maximum of ten participants per class. Currently, we are only offering the program on Wednesday nights, but if needed we can expand to offer on other nights. The program can be paid for by either private pay or billed as traditional respite through the Michelle P. Waiver.
